Disruptive cloud enabler highlights the world’s first cloud native infrastructure for 5G networks and its Intel Technology-Based Next Generation Central Office
Taipei, Taiwan (May 27, 2019) - Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT), a long-time participant at Computex and a global leader in hyperscale cloud and hyperconverged infrastructure, will exhibit its full-lineup of products and solutions at Computex 2019 starting May 28th with the theme “Intelligent Clouds – From Data Center to Edge” at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) in Room 101C.
QCT leverages its own virtualization expertise and experiences with data center technologies, to provide innovative platforms for 5G. In order to illustrate how QCT’s comprehensive line of products for data centers, telco clouds, and edge scenarios embraces transformative change at the network edge, the company is highlighting the world’s first cloud native infrastructure for 5G networks and its Computex 2019 Best Choice Award Winning Next Generation Central Office (NGCO) Solution. The NGCO solution is an SDN and NFV-enabled fiber-rich mini or edge datacenter that is architected for delivering agile wireline or mobile network infrastructure and associated service delivery. Communication service providers will be able to transform edge networks by adopting Intel® technology-based NGCO for increased service velocity with improved flexibility, and efficiency.
QCT, along with Intel, Rakuten, and Red Hat have developed a fully virtualized 5G ready mobile network which is the first for this type of network. QCT also sees a functional NGCO as a crucial element for 5G services, as it can run multiple functions on a single general-purpose server by using virtual network functions (VNF) rather than on dedicated fixed appliances. These architectures are set to disrupt the entire telco industry, and through these examples, QCT shows that it plays a critical role as a 5G ecosystem enabler as it works with industry leading partners to drive fundamental changes in the way mobile telecommunication companies plan, deploy, and manage their infrastructure.
“QCT has a long history of bringing innovations to market for a variety of industries, and we are excited to share our latest offerings once again at Computex.” said Mike Yang, President of QCT. “This year we have extended our portfolio from data center to edge products to bring our customers software centric designs that allow them to monetize 5G as the world becomes even more connected than it is today. This is evident in the architecture we have developed with Intel, Rakuten, and Red Hat which will lay the foundation for core-to-edge networks.”
From data center, to telco and edge solutions, QCT offers an expansive portfolio for Cloud Service Providers (CSP), Enterprises, and Telco companies, aiming to embrace next-generation digital innovations. As 2020 approaches with 5G’s eminent arrival, a strong infrastructure solution will play an essential role to support multiple use cases and applications across various industry sectors.
QCT’s full spectrum of data center, telco and edge solutions that you won’t want to miss at Computex 2019 include its NGCO Solution and the following solutions:
-From compute, to storage, to accelerated computing building blocks, QCT’s complete cloud data center portfolio has capabilities to tackle any workload. We will be showcasing our latest high performance and innovative hardware solutions featuring the latest 2nd Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors which support the latest Intel® Optane™ DC Persistent Memory and our latest versatile, high-density QuantaMicro X11C-8N server which offers flexibility with multiple node and accelerator options for inferencing that can adapt to various workloads by adjusting CPU to accelerator ratios.
-QCT also offers a selection of AI, data analytic, HPC, private cloud, software defined storage, and virtual desktop infrastructure solutions that can meet the most demanding cloud computing needs.
-Leveraging our experience as a leading cloud data center provider, QCT has next generation carrier grade routers targeted for the 5G mobile network infrastructure. Our product portfolio has also been extended to include flexible Telco NFV solutions spanning Universal Customer Premises Equipment (uCPE) and edge appliances. These Telco Cloud and Edge solutions not only support the increasing number of connected devices in the world we live in today, but also enable 5G applications with lower latency and higher bandwidth at the core and edge.
The QCT booth will be open to public from May 28 to May 31, 2018. Don’t miss the chance to visit us at Meeting Room T101C on the first floor of the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC).
