Gen AI choices for performance, scalability, and efficiency over the previous generation

San Jose, Calif. – September 24, 2024 - Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT), a leading provider of data center solutions, is excited to announce its support of the latest Intel^® Xeon^® 6900-series processors with Performance-cores (P-cores), a new class of processors in the Intel^® Xeon^® 6 product line and Intel^® Gaudi^® 3 AI accelerators, a next gen accelerator with advancements over Intel^® Gaudi^® 2. P-cores are optimized for high-performance with more cores, delivering better results than any other general-purpose CPU for compute-intensive workloads; while Intel^® Gaudi^® 3 accelerators help unlock insight, innovation, and income opportunities for Gen AI and large language models (LLM). The new Intel^® Xeon^® 6900-series processors with P-cores are designed to deliver unparalleled general-purpose performance. The Intel^® Xeon^® 6900-series processors with P-cores differentiate from their Efficiency-core (E-core) counterparts with hyperthreaded cores featuring built-in matrix engines and the flexibility to scale up to 128 performance cores, 12 memory channels, and 96 PCIe lanes per socket in 1 and 2 socket variants. These processors provide twice the performance and maximized throughput with the fastest DDR5 memory, with the same instruction sets, BIOS, and built-in I/O accelerators as all Intel^® Xeon^® 6 processors – including Intel® QuickAssist Technology (Intel® QAT), Intel® Data Streaming Accelerator (Intel® DSA), Intel® In-Memory Analytics Accelerator (Intel® IAA), and Intel® Dynamic Load Balancer (Intel® DLB).
