Quanta QCT Announces Availability of Four New Servers Based on Intel Xeon Processor E5-2600 Product Family

FREMONT, Calif. – March 6, 2012 /Businesswire/ – Quanta QCT today announced the availability of four new STRATOS servers based on the Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2600 product family. Intel® announced availability of the Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2600 product family at an event today in San Francisco.

The four Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2600 product family-based servers Quanta QCT announced today are:

• STRATOS S210-X12RS: Offers up to 24 DIMM slots in 1U for datacenter applications that demand large memory capacity, such as virtualization and real-time financial transactions. The STRATOS S210-X12RS is optimized for the demands of the densest datacenter environments. It boosts general performance by up to 80 percent over a previous generation Intel® Xeon® processor-based servers, and provides up to 768GB of memory capacity in a space-efficient 1U form factor.

• STRATOS S210-X22RQ: Uses the same motherboard as the STRATOS S210-X12RS, but in a 2U-chassis that provides more local storage for datacenter applications demanding large memory capacity and storage capacity.

• STRATOS S210-X12MS: Offers 16 DIMM slots in 1U. System functions are streamlined to provide high performance, cost-effectiveness and power-efficiency. The system boosts general performance by up to 80 percent and enables up to two times better technical computing performance with Intel® AVX technology over a previous generation Intel® Xeon® processor-based servers. Ideal for datacenters requiring floating point or high-performance computing.

• STRATOS S810-X52L: This high-density server includes four Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2600 product family-based server nodes in a 2U chassis design. Each node supports 16 DIMM slots. Having twice the computing density of traditional 2-way servers, the system features extremely high density, unsurpassed performance, and energy efficiency from shared power and cooling modules. The S810-X52L is ideal for HPC, clustering, cloud infrastructure and datacenters demanding high computing and memory density.
