QCT QuantaMesh Product Life Cycle Policy

QCT QuantaMesh Product Life Cycle Policy is intended to help customer plan and manage the life cycle process and assist the transition to updated infrastructure deployment. 

The Life Cycle Policy defines the hardware and software service models and describes the available entitlement during the support period.

Important notice!
We do not provide software support for EoSS products and hardware support for EoHS product.

Only the end user and the partner registered under the service contract are eligible to request the technical support or hardware support from Quanta directly. If purchasing the devices from a third-party reseller, please reach out to the reseller for assistance.

Hardware Service Model

This model applies to QuantaMesh Bare Metal Switch.

 

  • End of Sale notification: EoS notification will be sent by e-mail 6 months prior to the last day to order the product.

  • End of Sale (EoS): Spares or replacement parts for hardware will be available for a period of 4 months from the end-of-sale date.

  • End of Life (EoL): The product and other product related information will be removed after end-of-life date.

  • End of Hardware Service (EoHS): Hardware repair or replacement will be available for up to 5 years from the end-of-life date.

 

Hardware + Software Service Model

This model applies to QuantaMesh Ethernet Switch.

 
  • End of Sale notification: EoS notification will be sent by e-mail 6 months prior to the last day to order the product.

  • End of Life (EoL): The product and other product related information will be removed after end-of-life date.

  • End of Software Service (EoSS): Software support will be available for up to 3 years from the end-of-life date. (2 years of bug fixes + 1 year of technical support).

  • End of Hardware Service (EoHS): Hardware repair or replacement will be available for up to 5 years from the end-of-life date.

 

 

Software Service Model

This model applied to QNOS and Enterprise SONiC by QCT.

 

  • NOS Version: Software Service will be supported from the date of major NOS release. Please see the table below for the latest version.

  • End of Life (EoL): The product and other product related information will be remove after end-of-life date.

  • End of Maintenance (EoM): Software bug fixes will be available for up to 2 years from the major NOS release date.

  • End of Software Service (EoSS): Software service will be available for up to 3 years from the major NOS release date. (2 years of bug fixes + 1 year of technical support)

  • Two scenario for NOS support:

Scenario 1: General caseSoftware service will be available for up to 3 years from the major NOS release date. (2 years of bug fixes + 1 year of technical support)

Scenario 2: For EoL products onlySoftware service will be available for up to 3 years from the end-of-life date. (2 years of bug fixes + 1 year of technical support)

A later EoSS date will be applied.

Note

California government announced Senate Bill 327 to regulate security for IOT devices. Connected devices in California require reasonable security features that appropriately protect user's data from unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure. Each Device must has an unique password.Please change the default password when first configuring a QuantaMesh Ethernet Switch. For more login or registration details, please refer to the Installation guide.
